Privacy Policy — XSec CTF Easy #1 2026

Last updated: 2026

XSec Solutions collects the minimum information needed to run this competition fairly and to issue certificates.

What we collect

At registration: your name, email address, country, university/ organization, skill level, and Discord username (required); optionally, your LinkedIn, GitHub, or portfolio links, and how you heard about us. During the competition, we record your challenge solves, submission timestamps, and score for the leaderboard.

Why we collect it

Who can see it

Your username, country, and score are visible on the public leaderboard. Your email, real name (unless used for the certificate), Discord username, and other registration details are visible only to XSec Solutions organizers/admins — never sold, and never shared with third parties except where required to operate the platform itself (e.g. our hosting provider, which processes data only on our behalf).

How long we keep it

Competition data (scores, solves, leaderboard) remains available after the event for record-keeping. You can request deletion of your personal registration details (name, email, Discord username, etc.) at any time by contacting us — competition results tied to your username may be retained for leaderboard integrity, with personal identifiers removed on request where feasible.

Your rights

Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at the address below to exercise these rights.
